Round table session on fundraising (Stockholm)

In September we will organise an extended round table session on fundraising. This time we will invite one of our international Senior Associate Consultants: Bruno van Dyk. Bruno will give a short presentation on key learnings during his fundraising career and then we will open for discussions on the challenges your organisations are facing. The session will be in English.

Bruno van Dyk has over 20 years of experience in development work, university advancement and international activities on every continent, except South America. During this time, he has led major university advancement endeavours, in both South Africa and the UK, exceeding targets in income and alumni engagement. Most recently, he served for 5½ years as Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Durham University (a top-4 UK university) where he led a team of 29 professionals. Before that he was Executive Director of the University of KwaZulu-Natal Foundation in South Africa.

Bruno has been and is an ordinary member and Chair of a number of University and other nonprofit national and international Boards. This includes being Chair, variously, of the Africa Centre for Childhood; the HIV/Aids Networking Centre; the Institute for Partnerships between Education and Business and a Commissioner on the CASE Global Commission on Philanthropy. Currently he is Chair of the International Partnership Network; CASE Africa; and is on the Boards of Practical Philanthropy across Europe (a project of the King Baudouin Foundation-US) and University World News.
